Canon FD 50mm F1.4 Review
The Canon FD 50mm F1.4 was the standard kit lens to the Canon AE-1 Program. It was a light lens and reliable, but lacked professional coatings as was standard to Minolta MD and Maxxum lenses.
This was the first lens I used to learn photography, but there’s nothing really special about this lens, other than significant chromatic aberation and a bit of light fall-off, also, not the sharpest at F22.
Many videographers are using these old FD lenses on their mirrorless outfit for 4K and 8K videos.
